It should be noted that the dealer plays last, which is his biggest advantage over the players as they can jump in and lose the game even before the dealer plays his hand.

What do you need to play Blackjack online?

The official rules of Blackjack state that the game must be played with 52 cards, which means that you must eliminate the jokers. Some online casinos offer multi-game blackjack in order to protect against card counters. This is the reason why you can find double game versions or even 8 games. This is because if you are playing an online variant a large number of packages could be used, but it is almost impossible for a live dealer to handle more than eight packages.

In the offline variant, the casino will invite players to a Blackjack table. It also provides chips to allow players to place their bets, as well as a cut card, a garbage can, and a shoe that are standard card games in casinos.

How to take advantage of the value of the cards?

The first thing to learn is the value of each card and we will start with an ace. Aces can be worth 1 or 11, and it depends on the player’s choice. Kings, Queens, and Jacks are worth 10, while all other cards in the deck have the value indicated. For example, two is worth two, three is worth three, and so on up to 10.

You are going to hear some popular terms about the hands you can deal. For example, a player may have a “soft” hand if his ace is 11, but any other combination of cards is still a “hard” hand. The best option is to get a blackjack hand that is a combination of an ace and a card that is worth 10. In some cases, the dealer and the player may have blackjack that leads to a tie. This result is also called a push and implies that no one wins and therefore the player will be refunded their bet.

The dealer indicates that no more bets are allowed and begins to deal the cards one by one in a clockwise direction. Each player, including the dealer, must have two cards, but one of the dealer’s cards will be turned face down as required by the rules applicable to the game of Blackjack in casinos.

If the dealer’s face-up card is an ace or any other card worth 10 points, players can purchase insurance. To do this, the player must make an additional bet worth half of his first bet. If the dealer wins blackjack, the insurance bet will win.

The dealer will look at the other card and if there is blackjack, he will reveal it. It makes a full spin and the only way players can win is if they have opted for insurance bets. In this case, the payout is 2: 1, whereas if you also have blackjack, you will be tied with the dealer. All other scenarios indicate that you lost your first bet.

In the event that the dealer does not play blackjack, he loses his insurance. Players who get blackjack are eligible to receive payouts. Those still in the game may have the following options:

Stand (stay in your game) – You don’t want the dealer to deal extra cards. Choosing to be close to 21 is a wise decision.

Hit (draw a card): the player requests an additional card from the dealer. Keep in mind that if the additional card makes you over 21, you will be arrested.

Double – Players choose to double their initial bet amount. The only condition is that you will get only one additional card after that and then it will have to remain in your deck.

Split: This option allows you to split the cards and play virtually two hands at the same time. However, you must bet the original bet amount for the extra hand you get. Some casinos allow additional splits, but they rarely go beyond four hands. Each hand is played separately and you have the option to use each of the three options mentioned above. If you have 21 in a split, it does not count as blackjack, but as a regular 21 that pushes the dealer if you get 21 on three or more cards.

Surrender – You have the option to lose your bet, but half will be returned to you.
